When J Robbins was in town to record the new Redshift record, he turned me on to this podcast, "The History of Rock n' Roll in 500 songs," and I've been making my way through the great prehistory episodes (where Louis Jordan gets his props) to the 1950s. So I've been listening to a lot of Rock V.1 music and the giants of that period are legendary for a reason, especially Elvis, Little Richard and Buddy Holly. So I cut this cover, in humble honor of that generation.
